These counter-depth refrigerators are also less expensive than standard-depth French door fridges, and they could eliminate the necessity for an under-counter freezer. The LG Smart Mirror InstaView counter-depth refrigerator (LMWC23626S) isn't an exception with the capacity of a standard fridge, but in an elegant, modern design with an internal dispenser for easy access to water that is filtered.

The refrigerator features a recessible icemaker on the back wall. This reduces space and lets you store more ice bags. The refrigerator uses door-cooling technology that makes use of vents in the doors of the fridge and freezer to bring cold air into the refrigerator. It prevents hot spots and helps keep temperatures more consistent throughout the fridge.
This LG refrigerator is a standout in our tests and has plenty of space to feed a family, but it does have some quirks that we found to be annoying. The freezer drawers aren't as cold as we'd like. The middle drawer was 41 degrees during our peak test of use which is warm enough to serve ice cream and other frozen food items. The temperature of the rest of the freezer remained at around 36 degrees.
Another issue is that the refrigerator doors have handles that are sunken both on the inside and under which makes it difficult for people who are shorter to comfortably guide them closed. This may seem insignificant, but we prefer front mounted handles on refrigerators to make them easier to open and shut.
The fridge is costly however it is worth it for anyone who wants an elegant appearance in their kitchen. We recommend this fridge for those who want to upgrade their existing fridge or are building a new house and want a more integrated style for their kitchen.
Samsung Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator
The RF23M8090SG is Samsung's latest and fanciest counter-depth French door fridge, priced at $4,200. It's a good-looking model that boasts useful features like an autofill water pitcher and a temperature-adjustable "FlexZone" drawer. It also did well in our cooling test, however we don't like the gimmicky handles or plastic crisper bins.
One thing that makes the RF23M8090SG apart is the Bespoke line that lets you personalize your fridge by removing colored panels which can be swapped when you're tired of the current ones. There are 11 different color options with pastels through more vibrant hues. There are four metallic finishes. Some of the panels can be customized with text or photos which makes the fridge a personal touch point that will match your tie-dye Crocs, Rick Owens dress or Andy Warhol banana neon sign.
You can even alter the color of the fridge's LED lighting, which is nice. The interior of the fridge is finished with a sophisticated finish that reduces smudges and makes cleaning a breeze. The only negatives to the RF23M8090SG are its slightly cramped beverage center and a bit of a learning curve when it comes to opening the door-in-door feature that houses a water jug and dispenser. You must look for the lever that is located under halfway down the door. Once you have it the second door opens up inside the fridge, which houses the pitcher docking station and the water dispenser.
The 6.8 cubic-foot freezer compartment is big enough to store a wide range of frozen foods and features an amazing slide-out drawer system that allows you to access the food you're looking for without opening the entire compartment. The freezer also has an ice-cream bin style compartment to store small items and a large capacity storage drawer to store larger quantities of frozen food. The drawer can be locked with the use of a password to keep unwanted guests out and also has a handy LED light to let you see what's inside in an instant. In many ways, this Frigidaire feels like the stainless-steel model of fridge you might see in the local appliance store.
